PGL The Musical - A Must See...

When I first read the synopsis from the website (http://www.pglthemusical.com.my), I was so thrilled and enticed. I watched the movie with Papa Rai last year in Warta, Bangi. We had nothing to do one fine afternoon and decided to have our Nasi Kandar lunch there, masa tu Indah was still in my tummy, so senang nak usung sana sini :P..to our surprise, Warta has a cinema..apa ntah namanya.. couldn't recall, so we bought out tickets and watched Puteri Gunung Ledang The Movie. Many made bad and ugly comments on the movie but those comments couldn't stop us eheheh.

Same goes to PGL the musical, some of my colleagues had the priviledge to watch the grand opening night.. benci tul...how I envied them tapi I personally think, they had wasted the tickets.. given to these bunch of people who couldn't and wouldn't appreciate art.. is was tottally a waste... kita dah excited gila gi tanya derang "how was it" .. leh lak jawab"ok laa", "ntahla.. tak paham," and yg paling teruk "i slept laaa.. ehhehehe".. eeeeeeee geram geram...but still , what can you expect from people like that kan .. ish... what a waste...

I went with my good buddy Ayu, we were very lucky coz we had to go through lots of hassle to reach Istana Budaya.. sangat lah mencabar.. it was raining cats & dogs and there were trees tumbang sini sana.. we reached Istana Budaya at 830 sharp.. Ayu was already worried that they might not let us in if we were late.. thank god that Istana Budaya suffered black out for few hours and they need to rearrange the set up for the nite's show. Alhamdullilah.. sempat tgk opening act :)

The opening act was superb.. grand gila.. to me.. it was damn good.. ooopsss mine my language hehehe.. tapi memang best laa.. I've been to Istana Budaya 3 times, once when I was in MMU I think, I watched Cindai, the 2nd time was The Sound of Music when I was heavily pregnant ahahha.. and PGL The Musical was my 3rd.. I was amazed by the setting as I didn't imagine that Istana Budaya had the capability to create effects such as in PGL.



The storyline has the same plot or scenes from the PGL movie, it's just that you don't see it live singing and dancing in front of you. The music arrangement was cool.. congratulations to the music directors, I really enjoy the scenes where Gusti Adipathi wanted to go to war with Demak, the songs, dance and lighting gave me goosebums.. macam nak gi perang betul la!!! I also enjoy the scene where Sultan Melaka dance and sing .. memang best.. different sangat.. it has a mixture of modern dance and the song macam hip hop sket hehehe... best!!..



The strong characters from the show would be Gusti Adipathi played by AC Mizal and Sultan Melaka by Adlin.. I though AC Mizal would be the typical AC Mizal in Gerak Khas but I was tottally wrong.. he was outrageously outstanding and Adlin, being Adlin memang power laa.. no wonder he made those harsh comments during AF3. He has all rights to give such comments coz he is such a good actor, dancer and singer.. tabik spring aaa....

We saw some friends too during the show.. some were happy watching and some made nasty comments.. ish.. these people.. balik rumah je laa.. boring tul la.. if you come to make judgement definitely you can see flaws.. haiya.. at least... these people made it.. they are in the play.. thousands of people came to watch them ... what about you?? duh!!!!!



We also saw few celebrities that night such as Chef Wan who sat just a sit a front of us, Faridah Merican, Hafsham, Alex Yoong, Ariana Teoh and Zaibo. They too enjoyed the show. Tak sempat nak snappy snappy sebab it was already 12pm. Cinderellas had to rush back home.. hubbies and babies dah tunggu eheheh :)

Overall, the show was magnifique, it is a MUST SEE to those yang belum tgk.. :)
